Setting a special time for yourself to exercise is not selfish, when you are healthy and happy, those who need you, will also benefit from being around you.
During one of my many stops to the grocery store last week I ran into a woman who I hadn’t seen at the studio in months. We started to converse by the fish counter and talk about the holidays and her kids and husband and how busy her life was and is and how she misses being at the studio and having time to exercise. She then told me that she felt selfish when she was at the studio and felt guilty for taking all that time for herself. I quickly reminded her it was only 2-3 hours out of her 168 hour week.
